How to let students to group themselves in my UMMoodle course?

In UMMoodle, Group Choice allows students to enroll themselves to a group created by the teacher, and teachers can limit the number of students in each group.

1. Create several empty groups in your course. Please refer to our FAQ for creating groups in UMMoodle.
2. Click “Turn editing on” on the top right menu.
   
   
3. In the course outline, choose a Week/Topic and click “Add an activity or resource” button.
   
   
4. Select “Group Choice” on the left menu, and click the “Add” button.
   
5. Fill in the Group choice name.
   
6. Select the options that students can choose, and click the “Add Group” button.
   
7. Finally, click the “Save and return to course” button.
   

Remark: Students can view other students’ choices before selecting their choices.
