After successful application, it needs around 4 hours to propagate the UM@Connect account in Microsoft Office 365 cloud service. After that, all emails sent to @um.edu.mo or @connect.um.edu.mo will be delivered to your UM@Connect mailbox and you can send email with address [Student User ID]@connect.um.edu.mo.
