How to enable PDF file displayed in a new window in UMMoodle ?

Since embedded PDF files cannot display normally on some mobile devices, teachers are encouraged to change the file display format to “New window” for the students who want to view the files on their mobile devices. (Currently, the default setting is “New window”)

Step-by-step tutorial

  1. Enter the course and then click “Turn editing on” on the top right menu.
  2. Next to the file, click “Edit” and then click “Edit settings” in the menu.
  3. Change the property “Display” as “New window” under “Appearance” section.
  4. Click the button “Save and return to course” to save the change.
