When you use the eduroam while you are travelling in other regions, you should use your UMPASS account with the suffix “@um.edu.mo” as login ID, the following is an example of valid ID format for eduroam service: Login ID: ba12345@um.edu.mo Password: your UMPASS account password.
There is only one reason which is you would like to try and verify the connectivity of the eduroam service before your travel. Since local eduroam is for the guests who visit UM so many UM IT applications/services are not supported local eduroam connection.
eduroam is an international wireless LAN roaming service, you only need it while you are traveling. It is not necessary to use within UM campus.
