Method 1

1. Click “Desktop” icon to go to desktop.

3. Select “UM_SECURED_WLAN” and click “Connect”.

4. Input Your UMPASS user ID and password and click “OK” to continue.

The password is case sensitive and the user name is in lowercase.

If you are student, your user name contains only the first seven characters of your student ID, e.g.“ba12345”

5. Click “Connect” to connect wireless LAN.

Method 2

1. Click “Desktop” icon to go to desktop.

2. Right click “Network and connectionUM Wireless LAN Configuration Guideline For Windows 8)_002 icon on the Windows Taskbar, and open “Open Network and Sharing Center”.

3. Select “Set up a new connection or network”.

4. Select “Manually connect to a wireless network” and click “Next”.

5. Input “UM_SECURED_WLAN” on Network Name, select “WPA2-Enterprise” on Security Type, select “AES” on Encryption Type, then click “Next”.

6. Select “Change connection settings”.

7. Select “Security” Tab and click “Settings”.

8. Deselect “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate” and “Enable Fast Reconnect”. Click “Configure” and deselect “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)”, then click “OK”.

9. Click “Advanced Settings”.

10. Check “Specify authentication mode” and select “User authentication”.

11. Click “Save credentials” to input your UMPASS user ID and password, then click “OK” to connect UM Wireless LAN.
